A parade of serving and ex-RAF personnel, commemorating the Battle of Britain took place in Newark market place and wreath laying at St Mary Magdalene Church yesterday.
The parade was led by the Mansfield Corps of Drums, commemorated the 83th, anniversary of the Battle of Britain.
Air Chief Marshal, Sir Andrew Pulford, inspected 1260 Squadron, with Station Commander Cranwell, Group Captain Tina Jessup inspecting those on parade from RAF College Cranwell.
Representing Royal Air Force Association Branch and District was retired Wing Commander Allan Hildage and Standard Bearer Paul Watson. Michael Reilly the Branch Vice Chairman read a poem during the church service.
