Remembrance Day

Remembrance Sunday

I have not witnessed many Remembrance Sundays in Newark, but what an absolutely fantastic turnout from everyone. The public, military, ex-serviceman, dignitaries and et all paid their respects at the eleventh hour outside St Marys Magdalene Church, where the War Memorial is placed.

Back at the Branch, we were treated to sandwiches and cream cakes and of course a pint if needed. Would like to thank Elspeth, Margaret, Dawn, Lisa, Bev, Tilly and the members of RAFA for making us proud.
