The RAF Association Wings Appeal

The Branch will be collecting for Wings in Boyes, Appleton Gate, Newark-on-Trent,  this week.

The primary collector is Dennis Atkins, who welcomes any assistance that can be given, especially lunch time breaks. Please contact Dennis if you can help him out this week.

Our volunteer fundraising programme.

You may have heard of the Wings Appeal, or even seen our iconic wings logo, but what you might not know is that our appeal runs throughout the year and is entirely volunteer-driven! Our teams of incredible, passionate branch members and volunteers are out in their local community raising money for the RAF Association. From hosting coffee mornings, to holding buckets in their local super markets – our teams are so grateful for any support you might offer them.

Since its beginnings in 1951, the Wings Appeal has grown and developed, and although we still focus on the annual Battle of Britain anniversaries in September, we now fundraise throughout the year.

We are dependent on the generosity of the public and the selfless hard work of our volunteers who help raise vital funds for the Wings Appeal.

Our volunteer fundraisers come from all walks of life; including RAF Association branch members, fundraising volunteer groups, members of the serving RAF, ATC cadets, employees of companies who support us and individual members of the public.

If you are new to the RAF Association or to fundraising and wish to get involved please contact the team at fundraising@rafa.org.uk
